this is an outstanding b&w image. Love the comparison of the old vs. the new. The detail in the cathedral is terrific. Super job!

I totally agree with Tom. It's almost eerie (apocalyptic) to see the two structures together like this, Sam.
Samarth: thanks a lot ginnie...

new structures are not sensitive to the needs of birds, are they?
the old building reminds me of the dribble sand-castles I have built on the beach from time to time.
Well composed Photosam.
Samarth: lol...thank you ray...
beautiful texture and beautiful tones again, wow, and the contrast in the buildings, the perspective...Excellent!!
Samarth: thank you very much patrick

wow, really beautiful!! great work!!
Samarth: chhers grin....
Wow! This really holds the attention with the extreme contrast between these two buildings. More than just `old and new`, it makes me think about the extreme changes in life, everyday living, and the human condition in general, between the construction of these two buildings. Worlds apart in so many ways. (:o)
Samarth: thats very deep...thanks rosalyn...
Great B&W shot.I like the contrast between past and future
Samarth: thanks a lot richard...
The black and white really makes this a stand out.

Wow, what a comparison. The cherry so to say is the sunlight that hits the tops of the spires. I like the processing.

cool perspective Master, it's like a shot from a batman movie. good work. malwalker
Samarth: lol, lets see if i can sell it to the makers of batman...
Elegant image, marked contrast with the modern monstrosity in the background! Looks a bit HDR'd!
Samarth: it is hdr's...but without sounding too full of myself, the hdr was crap and the end result in mainly due to brushwork and lighting effects...
Nice contrast between the old and new, lovely pp as always!
Samarth: thanks a lot ashish, glad you liked it...

This is lovely. I like the contrasting architecture and the mysterious light. Well done!
Samarth: thank you very much martin...
Very interesting range of greys. It's a very effective result made by sucking out the darkening. I wonder if it would have been possible to ring out even more grey from the utility office block. richard.
Samarth: thanks a lot richard...well, the idea was not to lighten the building to make it a better contrasting point...

Uber-busy architecture of the past vs. over-simplified one of the nowadays. Seems so contradictory to the perception of the ways of life: fairly simple of the past and uber-complicated of the nowadays.
Love the image.
