Boucherie Musings

Baptized in the river
I've seen a vision of my life
And I wanna be delivered
In the city was a sinner
I've done a lot of things wrong
But I swear I'm a believer
Like the prodigal son
I was out on my own
Now I'm trying to find my way back home
Baptized in the river
- The River by Good Charlotte

Photo Editing: Desaturate, Curves, Film Grain, Selective Blurring in Photoshop.

The man looks lonely, and sad.
Samarth: its what drew me to him...but in retrospect i think he was just checking his nails...
Nice balance.
Samarth: Thanks anup...
Great b/w shot, but i´m not so sure about the figure on the left
Samarth: Thanks...i kept him there as a contrast...

The guy on the left almost epitomizes the Prodigal Son's do-good brother. Hmmm. Lots to think about here, Sam.
Samarth: thank you ginnie...

Looks like our shots are similar PP wise today except I kept mine partially saturated..... very nice.... the same effect I was going for today yours came out much nicer. I'm liking your new style.
Samarth: meh, new style is simply the old style with me realising that i did too much in photoshop...so ive just decided to sharpen, tone and shadow/highligh my people pics, works out well...
I like the juxtaposition in this Sam. As for your pp I find the large area of highlight distracting. I think you could have burnt this in without losing anything.
Samarth: thanks alistair...hmmm, i see your point but i wanted something to be stark white as a relief from th rest of the greyness...i could definitely give it a go though...

I'm not altogether sure about the brightness either, but I do like the way it separates the real world on the right hand side, from the make believe left.
Samarth: Thanks ellie...thats a lovely perspective...
