Arid Lookout

I wanted to walk through the empty streets
And feel something constant under my feet,
But all the news reports recommended that
I stay indoors
Because the air outside will make our cells
Divide at an alarming rate until our shells
Simply cannot hold all our insides in,
And that's when we'll explode
- We Will Become Silhouettes by The Postal Service

This one is really nice Sam. Lighting and contrast are perfect here. Nothing over powers the other. I like this because it makes one look at it and think. Good work Sam.
Samarth: Thanks a lot Tom...

Samarth: thats alright, its been a while since i got one of those...ill handle it (trying to hold back tears) :_(...but seriously, why not?
It has a certain charm Samarth...the scene looks beautiful enough without playing too much.....feels like a faded photo which I guess fits the timeless nature of the photo.
Samarth: thanks phil...

certainly does have that timeless feel, the "head and shoulder" silhoutte on the horizon ryhmes nicely off the main figure
Samarth: thank you gary...

brought a smile smile because you so love postprocessing and this is so you - in a good waysmile I love this shot and I think it has a lot of character but could have done with a tiny bit less of that soft touch.
Samarth: lol, thanks...yup, i do actually need to cut down on my ps-ing...

second look Master, was not sure about this one this morning (must have been grumpy! lol) really like it now, these washed out tones really add an element of intrigue. malnotsogrumpynow.
Samarth: aww mal, you know me...ive got nothing against grumpy mal and would be more than happy to receive a few tips...
Very interesting and creative...really like it.
Samarth: thanks...
What I really like about this image aside from the lovely soft, subtle tones, is that head and shoulders silhouette on the wall that doesn't have a body to show for it. You've got an open narrative going on here that gets whoever looks at it thinking and that's great.
Samarth: yup, i love that shadow as well...
This photograph really makes you pause. I just sat and studied it for ages, thinking about the possible storylines. Quite hypnotic and extremely well done. (:o)
Samarth: Thank you rosalyn..
Mirage?
Love the soft tones, nice stuff!!
Samarth: grin...
