Shroud

This version of the image has a very different feel to the original. I blame thrash metal.

I like it! The expression is curiously ambivalent. It would be even better if all the eyelashes were in the shot. But it is a clever shot regardless.
Samarth: fair enough, it was a running model so i had to take the shot on the fly...but yes, would prefer all the eyelashes to be in the frame...
great macro. the quality is outstanding.
Samarth: thank you very much alicia...

A beautiful eye... probably a beautiful girl !
Samarth: thank you sidney, its my cousin who has VERY long lashes...
Très beau regard, plein de mystère
Samarth: merci...
A little narcissistic don't you think Sam!
Samarth: well, you've got me pegged...and while that may be true, this one is a picture of my cousin's eye wink...
Aye ... you certainly have an eye for the girls Sam. richard
Samarth: lol, i wish...nope, this effeminate eye happens to be my cousin's...

Sam, if this is what you produce with thrash metal, I'd love to see what some sultry raspy jazz inspires.

Beautiful.
Samarth: that's d be so much more subtle...it would have warmer tones and the lines would flow so much more...no, that kind of stuff happens only on a few special days...
Wonderful capture Sam. Well done
Samarth: thank you very much richard...
Very nice detail. Well done.
Samarth: thank you...
An intense look and a perfect frame of the eye.
Samarth: smile...
very nice close-up... what color is the eye in real life>
Samarth: a very deep brown...

It almost looks like you painted the right side of the frame black. Just an eye and skin popping from darkness looks strange to me. Not for me, execution is a bit low on this one Sam. You can do better.
Samarth: but that was the desired effect...focus the light onto the eye, the rest is muddy...
Beautiful macro. You chose a good cropping.
Samarth: thank you chris...
excellent composed, a beautiful eye and reflection in it.
Samarth: thanks!

In fact...layers of shrouds, like the 7 veils allowing the viewer's mind to play with the mere hint of what might be visible if all were stripped away.
It is a very strong image, Photosam.
Samarth: glad you appreciate it ray...
OMG!! This is beautiful. Welldone.
Samarth: thank you very much...
Nicely done, it gives a really unusual portrait and I like it very much !!
Samarth: thank you very much zeb...
Love the detail, especially in the reflection in the eye. Beautiful shot.

difficult for me to assess this one, i hate anything close to eyes, totally freaks me out... tho theres quality shot lurking in there despite the lashes crop
Samarth: grin...
