Derelict Haven
True happiness arises in the first place from enjoyment of oneself. - Joseph Addition This is probably one of the first ten pictures I took when I got my first digital camera, the L1, about 10 months ago. I've always loved it because it was the first really 'artsy' pic I've taken so I decided to touch it up and post it for you to see. Have a good weekend! Photo Editing: Smaradigfy Action, Destaurate, Lighting Actions, Levels in Photoshop.

Art indeed, just love it!!
Samarth: Thanks Ashish!>..
stunning pp effects
Samarth: thank you very much
What a cool shot!
Samarth:
that is a very impressive picture, nicely processed! where were you standing to take it? at the top of a tree?
Samarth: thanks elaine...nope, i took it from the 20th floor of a building...
I remember this... when you were in Maker Towers... ah good times. You first posted in on TDS with a Sepia tone and a little zoomed out from this tighter crop you posted here. I think you called it The Village.
The "Smaradigfy Action" definitely shows. What is it anyways? OK from me.
Samarth: smaradigyf is a SUPER-STRONG version of the toy camera effect and i only use it cuz it gives a gentle blurring around the edges, ive nullified the rest....yup, good times...
Very nice B&W, for a first shot of "Artist" it is a real success !
Samarth: Thanks again Zeb..
compliments for you first artistic digital pic Sam!
Samarth: thanks you very much nicola...
What a neat subject to shoot. Really nicely done.
Samarth: Thanks Laurie!...
what a cool picture
Samarth: thanks a lot clover...
very artsy indeed...
only problem i see is with the top right corner : the blur... its in the bottom left too but its not a hassle there. good effort... this shot contains glimpses of what you andyour skill have evolved into today.
Samarth: thank you very very much sidak...
Bonjour,
Well done portraits on your blog! Bravo!
Samarth: thank you jelb..
Awwwwwe, how sad. The boats overturned and people all around. Where did u click d pic? the pic's quite gd, but i find it a very sad one. It looks like a boat wreck. Though, it may just be an old unused boat n people swimming.
It can also be thought of as a shot taken after d tsunami??!! Points - 7.5/10
Samarth: thanks deepak...took this from maker towers...
Great shot Sam. I like the perspective of looking at it from above. Really adds to the shot.
Samarth: Thanks Tom...this view is a bit unusual for me...
I like this shot. It's not a view I'm used to when I look at boat shots. Great find, excellent shot.
Samarth: thnaks a lot chad....
Wow, interesting angle. Makes me a bit dizzy to look at, but very appealing.
Samarth: thanks april...
Unusual angle, but very nicely done! I like this shot!
Samarth: thnks you very much...was different for me too...
This shot reminds me of an old movie called The Sea Hawk (starring Errol Flynn), about a pirate who plunders Spanish ships for the good of England, and the Queen! Don't ask me why, it's just the first thing that popped into my head.
Great, atmospheric, dramatic image. Well done, Sam.
Samarth: i shall try and catch this movie
Very interesting perspective you captured here. The wrecked boat is fascinating.
Samarth: much appreciated doug...
I like this one Sam, right up my street wrecks as you know. I also like the treatment.
Samarth: yup, for once i was sure a shot would get the nod from you....
Once again, lovely post-processing. I'm not too fond of blurs, but it seems as though the shot would have been incomplete without it in this one! I'm still trying to figure out HOW you caught this?
Samarth: tanks mia...i was on the 23rd floor of a building that's right next to the sea, pretty special actually....
The viewpoint really makes the shot. Very well done even for a first shot. Though not too sure about the trees....
Samarth: thanks deji...yup trees were bugging me as well...
awesome
Samarth: Thank you very much Ade...
great shot for a first! cool subject
Samarth: thanks John!...
This is really surprising to be a shot from a digital camera. When I first saw it I thought for sure some kind of toy camera, perhaps a Diana. I really like the effect though, wish I could see the original and know a bit more about how it was made.
Samarth: Thanks Jason...it was quite a long process....to start with you need a photoshop acton called smaradigfy (google it) after which i desaturated it and used the 2 o'clock lighting effect is pshop...
Cool shot. The L1 seems to be a beautiful camera...
Samarth: Thanks phillipe....yup, it served me well...
