An unsatisfyingly rosy memory.

I like the strong painterly light.
PhotoSam: thank you martin...
Good taking of interior. I like!
PhotoSam: thanks again jose...
looks so warm, nice, and homey. I want to sit in that chair.
PhotoSam: thank you very much katie...
Like what Katie said, this looks so lovely, Sam. I want to curl up in that chair with a good book and a cup of tea! Those flowers are amazing.
You could hang this one framed on a wall.
PhotoSam: thanks kay...
That looks like a very comfy room!
PhotoSam: thank you sumedh...
A very inviting place.
PhotoSam: thanks ian...
A very appealing shot. I like the warm tones
PhotoSam: thank you richard...
What a welcoming room. Beautifully photographed with a great sense of the light flooding in. (:o)
PhotoSam: thank you rosalyn...
A very soft light... makes it sort of a photo with its own atmosphere to it. Although a macro on a flower would be pretty too, its a nice 'snapshot of life' sorta photo. Good one.
PhotoSam: thanks az...
A heavy atmosphere, like the room is filled with light honey. And...yes...everything is soaked in light.
Great picture and top-marks for the title, Photosam.
PhotoSam: thank you ray...
Were you soaked yourself?
This is an excellent picture of the 'sitback and relax' kind. I would like to sit there with a wild turkey clinking in my glass
PhotoSam: lol, not exactly...glad you liked it...
Nice photograph - I like the way the flower arrangement holds the attention even though the background is quite busy. You have made the interior look very inviting.
PhotoSam: thanks a lot mike...
Nice and original composition ... I like the tones and the light on the flowers ...
PhotoSam: thank you ann
i have a feeling that monochrome will be alot better wrt contrast.
i wonder if the plant should be trimmed a bit
PhotoSam: monochrome does look good and i did consider it, but i couldnt bear losing all that yellow sun...
deserves way more comments than it has...one of your best shots. Love the composition and as with most things the simplicity is it's charm
PhotoSam: thanks phil, need to hear that more...i really like shots like this but lack of comments often discourages me..you know how it is, the only way to get comments is to comment and honestly, there's too much on my plate to do that sufficiently...
Gives you the feeling that you come home tired...light an incense stick and just get one of those afternoons naps that let you fully recharged and fresh.
PhotoSam: yup, it was a great calming room..
beautiful still life with such vibrant context, beautiful light and compo, very good work.mal
PhotoSam: thank you mal...
i believe i could be wrong but i think there was very little post process on this image. its excellent, IMO its the best so far of the batch since todays home page, which i grant has a continuity of process and feel and exploration... but i digress. The tonal quality, the colour the composition everything comes together in this photo which is delightfully subtle, and honest; probably accounts for the lack of comments that phil mentions. Its seems a sad situation that sensationalism is the driving force behind response because people seem to need ever greater stimulus. If i'd taken this shot i'd be dead pleased with it. further more its not the number of comments thats going to teach us anything its the level of honesty to be found in the commenter's opinion. This is an excellent shot... look to it to find your way forward. Are you using that Canon G7, G9? not sure lost track, its a great camera that, had a handle of one that a mates got
PhotoSam: you are partially right...i spent a lot of time with this
in photoshop, but most of the time was spent staring at the screen...honestly, ive enhanced yellows, shadowed, and stretched the image left a little.. i think it is the demkand for sensationalism that directed me to WANT to change something in the photo through processing...but i ended up posting this, because i liked it for its simplicity and "wholesomeness"... encouraging to have someone else support my view that the number of comments are a poor indicator of the true merit of a photo...
ok sorry sam its the G7 just saw that on image rollover, not being slack
PhotoSam: vigilant as ever alek...i do really like the g9 though, a perfect upgrade to the g7...
I like the warm atmosphere of the room here !
PhotoSam: thanks you zeb...
I'm so glad I looked at your archive because if I hadn't, I'd have missed this masterpiece. It's unbelievably beautiful.
PhotoSam: thank you laura...
Très beau contre-jour, avec une belle harmonie de couleurs. Et le temps qui passe...
PhotoSam:

PhotoSam: thanks deji!
